Als Head of Retail / Retail Expansion Lead (m/w/d) verantwortest du die Weiterentwicklung und Expansion unseres Retail-Geschäfts. Du findest die richtigen Standorte, baust leistungsstarke Teams auf, gestaltest skalierbare Prozesse und machst Retail zu einem echten Erlebnis – strategisch, operativ und wirtschaftlich.
Du arbeitest unternehmerisch, hands-on und mit einem klaren Gespür dafür, wie sich nachhaltige Mode im physischen Raum anfühlen muss.

Mit diesen Aufgaben trägst Du zum Erfolg bei

Standortstrategie & Expansion
Identifikation, Bewertung und Sicherung optimaler Standorte in Deutschland und später Zentraleuropa (AT, CH, NL, BE, FR). Fokus auf lebendige, progressive Stadtviertel und Communities.
Teamaufbau & Leadership
Rekrutierung, Training und Weiterentwicklung leistungsstarker Store-Teams mit starkem Markenverständnis und Fokus auf Guest Experience & Conversion.
Retail Operations
Aufbau skalierbarer Systeme, Prozesse und KPIs für effiziente, profitable und nachhaltige Store-Performance. Sicherstellung eines reibungslosen Betriebs.
In-Store Experience & Brand Translation
Zusammenarbeit mit Brand, Retail Design, VM und Marketing, um ARMEDANGELS Werte in physische, warme und authentische Räume zu übersetzen.
Retail als Wachstumstreiber skalieren
Entwicklung eines klaren Retail-Expansion Playbooks: Rollout-Strategie, Governance, Standards, Performance Reporting und kontinuierliche Optimierung.

Das solltest Du mitbringen

Mehrjährige Führungserfahrung im Aufbau oder der Skalierung von Retail in Lifestyle-, Contemporary- oder Purpose-Driven Marken – idealerweise in mehreren Märkten.
Starkes Netzwerk im Retail-Real-Estate-Umfeld sowie Erfahrung in Standortbewertung, Mietverhandlungen und Projektsteuerung.
Unternehmerisches Mindset: Du kannst strategisch denken und zugleich operativ anpacken.
Ausgeprägte People-Leadership-Skills: Klar, inspirierend, verbindlich.
Erfahrung in Retail Operations, Store-KPIs, Prozessaufbau und Performance-Management.
Fähigkeit, Brand Values in Store Experience, Teams und Abläufe zu übersetzen.
Bereitschaft zu regelmäßiger Präsenz in Köln sowie hoher Reiseanteil zu Stores und potenziellen Standorten.

What is the job about?

Location strategy & expansion

Identify, assess, and secure optimal retail locations in Germany and later Central Europe (AT, CH, NL, BE, FR).
Focus on vibrant, progressive neighbourhoods and communities.

Team building & leadership

Recruit, train, and develop high-performing store teams with a strong understanding of our brand and a clear focus on guest experience and conversion.

Retail operations

Build scalable systems, processes, and KPIs to ensure efficient, profitable, and sustainable store performance.
Guarantee smooth day-to-day operations.

In-store experience & brand translation

Work closely with Brand, Retail Design, VM, and Marketing to translate ARMEDANGELS values into physical, warm, and authentic spaces.

Scaling retail as a growth driver

Develop a clear retail expansion playbook: rollout strategy, governance, standards, performance reporting, and continuous optimisation.

We'd love to hear from you if you have

Several years of leadership experience in building or scaling retail for lifestyle, contemporary, or purpose-driven brands – ideally across multiple markets.
A strong network in retail real estate and experience in site assessment, lease negotiations, and project management.
An entrepreneurial mindset: you can think strategically and act operationally.
Strong people leadership skills: clear, inspiring, and reliable.
Experience in retail operations, store KPIs, process design, and performance management.
The ability to translate brand values into store experience, team culture, and day-to-day operations.
Willingness to spend regular time in Cologne and a high level of travel to stores and potential locations.
